Featured Artist - Salome Kaniaru (Singer & Songwriter)     Kenya .....Salome was born and raised in Kenya. As a little girl, Salome knew she was going to be a singer. But while trying to attain this goal, Salome was naive about the road to success. In 1996 Salome gave birth to a sweet baby boy and took a break from the Music Industry. But Life is not a fairy tale and things don't always work out as we plan. Salome lost her husband in 1999, and has since been slowly healing from the catastrophe. The obstacles Salome has faced along the way have made her the mature and professional artist she is today. ......Starting her singing career, Salome performed with different bands for African Safari Club Hotels in Kenya. Salome then began touring and playing clubs in Germany with the Beverly entertainment agency. Salome played at sponsored events by: BMW, Toyota, Mercedes Benz, Sony, Siemens, Nixdorf, IBM, Bayer, Hilton Hotels, Cabit Hannover, Allianz, Berteismann (BMG), Bitburger, Deutsche Telekom, Flughafen Frankfurt, Kodak, Lions Club, Lufhanse, Nestle, Nokia, Steigenberger Hotels, Thyssen AG, and the National TV-Channels. Salome composes and sings all of her own songs; e.g. 1992 Composed and sang a moto for Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft - You Are My Hero, a project song for Sony Music - Gate to Africa, 1995 a project for Coconut Music - Fish and Chips. Salome has now relocated to the USA, and is currently performing in different venues with her five-piece band, or as a Solo Artist. ......Salome says the healing process has brought to mind her new questions in her life. Why am I here in this world? How can I make this a better place for others and myself? Salome believes her answer to those questions is to do what Salome does best!
