SALI OYUGI has been actively involved in addressing issues that affect different communities using her amazing talent as a Singer/Songwriter and her captivating Storytelling & Poetry. Sali is also an amazing dancer. Salis stage presence is almost magical , making her performances Dynamic to say the least. Capable of seeming as vulnerable as a lamb and as fearless as a lioness all I one show, Sali's performances have a high impact on her audiences wherever she makes an appearance. She sings, dances, and plays acoustic guitar & congas in an amazing Fusion of E. African Rhythms with a touch of Funk and Jazz.

Sali has been performing professionally since the year 1993 at which time she was still living in her native country Kenya, East Africa. She mainly worked under the sponsorship of the French Cultural Center, which regularly hosts multi-cultural festivals that bring artists from various parts of the world together. Sali played extensively at the local clubs and art centers which then led to her U.K. tour in 1997. her performance at a Solar Energy Convention received rave reviews and soon after this tour Sali released her first solo project-a three song C.D., which received rave reviews.

-"Sali is all set to be Kenyas musical ambassador"- The Daily Nation another Kenyan daily called her "...Kenyas own Miriam Makeba..."-The Standard.

This C.D. also received a lot of airplay in her hometown, Nairobi. Sali is currently based in Boston where she has been performing with her band KARMA SIMBA. Karma Simba is Wesley Wirth on Bass, (who has performed with the likes of King Sunny Ade )is also teaching at the New England Conservatory of Music and has played with many world music and reggae ensembles, Roderick Camelia on Guitar- he has created his own Teaching Method of Music Theory and has written a book about the same, drawing from his vast experience in working with Latin/African ensembles. Luis Blanco on percussion, formerly of Berklee College of music and has a vast experience with Afro-Cuban ensembles, Andreas Brade on drums, formerly of Berkeley College of Music vastly experienced in working with North African (Morocco), West African (Mali), East African (Kenya & Congo) ensembles. ( Winnie Dahlgren on Vibes, Tim Myers on horns- extended band)

Sali Oyugi has been making her presence felt in the New England area. She has played at the Middle East Café, Ryles Jazz Club, The Western Front ,The Cyclorama- Boston Center for the Arts, the Cambridge Multi-Cultural Arts Center, Mama Gaia's Café, and the local festivals , conventions and schools. She has also played in New York, Vermont, North Carolina and New Hampshire. Sali has also worked with master kora player and griot Balla Tounkara , who features in her newly released debut Solo Album " Vuma!",

World-beat band Wildest Dreams, Poetry/World music ensemble Vox Pop, Afro-Reggae/Hip-Hop-Soul band The III Kings, Internationally acclaimed Kenyan Afro-Beat Band Jabali Africa. Sali had a successful C.D. release party of her album "Vuma!" (July 26, 2002) which got amazing reviews and media coverage. Sali Oyugi and Karma Simba are currenly on their C.D. promotional tour.

Felix is primarily a music producer, but God has blessed him with a gift of writing songs, playing different instruments including; Piano, organ, bass guitar, guitar, drums, percussion, different brass instruments like the sax, trumpet ...and singing.

He started writing the songs on this CD while he was on tour with the Youth for Christ team.He produced this CD in his own studio right in Boston, MA. The CD features some musicians from his school (Berklee College of Music)like; Eric Wainaina, Nancy Bilonda, Claude Kelly, Malakhi Eason, Curtis Warren, members of the Youth for Christ (Generation 21-Shuhuda)some friends from his Church, (Twelfth Baptist Church)like; Eric Ajuoga and Wambui Thuku and other friends like Kanji Mbugua (from Milele), Henry Kariuki (Milele's guitarist) Christine Wambui and Carole Mungai.

The CD is pretty much urban/R&B gospel in style. He wrote and arranged almost all the songs. All the songs have vocals. He features as the soloist in some songs and does some background vocals in other songs.

This is FJ's latest production. Its comprised of your favorite Christmas standards that he rearranged as well three songs that he wrote. Each song features a different artist while FJ does all the background vocals and instrumentation. Some of the Artists include some that FJ has worked with in the past including Alisa Miles, Brenda 'Shamu' Shigoli, Viola Karuri and Carole Mungai as well as new artists: Terrence Gresham, Sarah Oyungu, Ivy Redd, and Frankco Harris.
